Mississippi- at par with other states in car insurance.

Due to a new law passed in Mississippi, the cost of renewal of car insurance has more than doubled as compared to the previously applicable law. As a result of the new law and the higher premiums, loss of life and damage to properties will receive realistic compensation. The premium payable directly varies with the age, experience, and accident records of the driver. With this law, Mississippi has come at par with other states as far as adequate coverage of those opting for auto insurance are concerned.

Car insurance rates jacked up to bring it at par with other states

Compliance with legal requirements by the car insurance providers in Mississippi will force all policyholders to enhance their coverage to a statutory minimum amount. Considering that the previously applicable statutory minimum was insufficient, the law has increased it by more than double. This move is an instance where the citizens will have to bear hardships in the short term to enjoy benefits of car insurance in the long term.
